I LOVE presents! I love the big ones, the small ones, the expected ones and especially the unexpected ones.

Flowers can be so romantic, jewelry is always welcome (me likee sparkly!) or that perfect shirt you didn’t know he knew you wanted. Or a jaw of something homemade, a drawing of a knight and his castle or even a box of matches decorated with glued on macaroni and spray painted with gold (cute when made by 5-year old – after that age, you should switch to say flowers).

The grande gestures, the big surprises, the cute little nods, the many ways one can recieve tokens of affection or appreciation or grattitude – I love them all.

Except…

I really hate it when the cat brings in a tiny, live, cute yet mortally wounded bird.

But it’s the only way he knows how to tell you that he REALLY LOVES YOU! <3 😉

Yes and thanks for that. Just received another one. A bigger bird this time. What’s wrong with flowers??

I see your point. OTOH, he could bring in a mouse-buddy to play (before he eats him). Just the kids, playing in the house.

Wouldn’t that be a “gem” when compared to, say, a lizard that gets away inside the house?
