We’ve had lots of company recently – and I have thus made lots of deserts!

Here’s a desert easy to make using the afterheat of the coals after a barbecue.

You need:

  • Peaches (most other fruits can also be used – the sky is the limit!!)
  • Vanilla sugar (sugar blended with real vanilla pods – keeps for years in a sealed container and tasts delish!)

Sprinkel plenty of the vanilla sugar over the halved and pitted peaches.

Put them on the heat – be carful – these are done in 2 minutes!!

Serve warm with ice cream or cold whipped cream – or as here with a (store-bought) chocolate pie.

Ta-daa!

Great photography with the pie. Looks very Martha or LHJ. Now I’m off to figure out how to manage vanilla sugar. Dear God, wait a minute. Would this be construed as c-o-o-k-i-n-g? I once promised my mother I wouldn’t do 4-letter words. I later promised myself not to do anything that started with the letter “C”…so how does one say c-o-o-k in another language? And does it have 4 letters?

    What, no K-I-S-S? No H-U-G-S? No L-O-V-E?
No Canoeing? No Canoodling? Canceling? Caring? Cussing?
You can use regular sugar, no problem.
Glad you like the pictures. A Martha Steward-comparison I will take ANYDAY. Now; Off to jail!
    XOXOXO,

      Hi Dorisa,
Sorry. Let me have my people look at it and we’ll get back to you. (My “people” is Char, who just went on a family road trip, so hopefully she’ll survive the endless “Mooom, I have to pee” and “Are we there yet?” and get her glorious talents back here with me. Where I like them to be. )
You can also “Like” Cindafuckingrella on Facebook – that way you get instant word when there are new posts. When the thing works, that is…
      All my best,
